Digital Torque bending bar

Developed for a major OEM client to test the

ductility of steel alloys after they are cast or

forged into club heads. This digital bending bar

is the only method we know of with which a

clubmaker can relate the torque needed to bend

a hosel one degree in Ft/Lbs for a specific alloy

and clubhead model.

The measurements made with the digital

bending bar can then be tabulated and used for

reference to ensure that the hosel is adjusted to

the desired spec in as few strokes as possible to

inhibit the onset of metal fatigue and to ensure

that the stress applied remains within the elastic

limit for the alloy from which the clubhead is

made from.

The Digital Torque Bending Bar is ideally suited

for manufacturing cells in charge of bringing

clubheads into spec after the final polishing

stages of manufacturing. This tool also works

well in quality control stations, R&D labs as well

as manufacturer sponsored tour vans and fitting

centers.

Built around the Eclatorq DC4 1/2” Square Drive

Digital Wrench capable of measuring loads up to

340N-m or 250Ft-Lb of torque with an accuracy

of +/- 2%. The square drive bending bits are

designed specifically for bending woods and

irons while maintaining the exact lever arm pitch

the wrench was designed for.
